You are on our Nesting Stem Dinghy page

We have two simulated clinker nesting Stem Dinghies in regular production:

(1) 9ft Nesting Clinker Stem Dinghy. The more popular of the two, this
simulated clinker hull (pictured above) was inspired by a traditional ship's
tender. She has lots of beam and depth for her length but is nonetheless
very easy on the eye - "appealingly chunky" as one customer put it. She
is great to row - incomparably better than a 9ft inflatable - and can be
fitted with an efficient balance lug sailing rig (NEW larger sail available
February 2012). We have sold them as tenders to yachts and camper
vans, and also simply as general purpose dinghies that don't take up as
much space at home. Lots of fun and reassuringly stable for a boat of
this size.

(2) 8ft Nesting Clinker Stem Dinghy. This is a smaller version of the 9ft,
with similarly full lines, stable and capacious for its length. However the foot
makes quite a lot of difference, this really being a one-two adult boat rather
than three, and we have not yet built one of these with a sailing rig
(although it would be possible). For those of you already familiar with our
range it supercedes our much lower volume 7ft 10" hull, which was
effectively a one-person boat, although we can still build those to special
order if you would prefer it.

There is also currently the opportunity to buy one only of:

(3) 10ft NN10 Nesting Stem Dinghy.
The NN10 is biased towards sailing performance and the Bermudan rig
is big! We were planning to make these under licence from the Canadian
builders, for the UK/European market, but have now decided not to, as
our own 9ft model actually has more volume (and stores in a shorter
length), making it more useful - in our opinion at least - as a general
purpose dinghy. Our (Canadian-built) evaluation boat is now for sale at
£2000 including rig, a one-off bargain if you rate sailing performance
over stability (much cheaper than importing one yourself).

All three designs have clinker-effect hulls, with simulated planking
(known as lapstrake in the USA).
