You are on our: FOLDING ROWLOCKS page
If you've ever lost or forgotten one and not had a spare,
you'll know why these are such a good idea!

We liked these captive folding rowlocks so much that we've given them a whole separate page!

The first and most obvious advantage of folding rowlocks is that, no matter what you do, you can't lose them over the side.

Even if you capsize... or when shipping the oars to come alongside another vessel...
or when you've sent the kids off to learn how to row...

And since they're permanently bolted to the boat you can't even forget to take
them with you, only to find out when you get to your launching point.

A unique feature of the type we sell is the stainless steel friction clip that holds them in place when they're folded down.

Simple idea, and one huge advantage:

They won't rattle or shake when you're motoring!

In our experience all others types do. (If you take "normal" ones out of their sockets they tend to rattle on the floor instead!)

They are much more substantial than most others on the market, and take any oar, with a diameter between 45 and 50mm (plus collars).

British-made, they make a fine addition to any of our boats - see boat price pages for upgrade price from standard rowlocks.

We also supply them to owners of other boats, at £72 per pair (plus £6 P&P to UK mainland).

We can't think of many people who wouldn't appreciate a pair of these on their
boat, even if they wouldn't pay for them themselves...

Rowlocks are also variously known as oarlocks and crutches (for the upstanding
prongs that hold the oar). We don't really mind what people call them, as long as we
all know that we are talking about the same piece of boating equipment...

These folding rowlocks have integral rowlock (or oarlock!) sockets, so you don't
need to buy them separately.
