If interested in nesting dinghies then you have probably already found the world's only other production model, the NN10. She is a 10 foot stem dinghy that splits into two nesting sections, with a strong sailing performance from her tall Bermudan Rig. She rows nicely and can be motored. We imported an NN10 from Canada in Jan 2010 for evaluation and with the potential of UK production, but have since developed our own 9ft Stem Dinghy which has greater volume/ stability but less sail performance. |
We are therefore now offering our evaluation NN10 for sale, complete with
sailing rig, at £2000 including UK VAT.
That is approx half what it would cost you (and indeed us!) to import one
from the other side of the Atlantic, when you include VAT, import duties,
crating and shipping. It has been in the water only three times and looks
brand new. (Current retail price with all options US$4494, plus VAT and
shipping - approx total US$6,400)
Like craft in our own range, the NN10 is designed to split into two nesting
sections for easy transport and storage. She can be assembled on a yacht's
deck, at the slipway, or in the water.
The NN10's connector mechanism is of a different design to our other boats,
using large diameter nylon threaded sections, similar to skin fittings, instead
of our half inch thread chromed ringbolts.
Assembled the dinghy is 10ft 2" (3.1m) long, with a beam of 4ft 5" (1.3m).
With the sections nested, length is 5ft 8" (1.7m) and height 20" (51cm).
She weighs approx 65kg.
